Gadzooks – What a Rally!

Scootouring 19, “Scoots of the Holy Grail” was a non-stop, flying Trojan Rabbit of beer-fueled mayhem beyond description. We were blessed with a clear and sunny weekend that made for a jaw-dropping ride through the countryside to Ma & Pa’s Shingle Springs campsite. The beer bungie was an epic struggle of keg vs. brain that left a plain of destroyed turf and broken bodies. Not since that Battle of Agincourt has the fair earth seen such a terrific clash of man, iron, beer and rubber. This year’s costumes were nothing short of amazing; people really went all out. The Burger King flipped patties and burned weenies well into the night, and the revelry went on and on, non-stop, ‘til the break of dawn.

Special thanks to Ma and Pa for their hospitality this year, and for the past 19 years, to Ashrat for riding all the way from south of Los Angeles, to everyone who rode in near and far, to the McCabes for driving all the way down from Portland for just the weekend, Bombsquad for coming from Reno, and to every one who traveled from out of town to join in the fun.

(And the unnamed ghost dog would like to thank the magical fairy people for feeding and playing with him all night long.)

We can’t wait to see you in April 2006 for the 20th ANNIVERSARY of SCOOTOURING!
